Welcome to the third trail of our Walking on Country series for 2024! – Anstey Hill Recreation Park. Over the course of 10 weeks we will explore 8 National Parks each Friday morning at  9:45 am. Most trails will be up to 2 hours in duration (depending on fitness of the group) 
 
BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL
Group numbers are capped at 10 participants to ensure quality of service and experience.

EVENT INFORMATION
This walk is approximately 7.5 km and up to 2.5 hours in duration.
It is rated as a grade 4 hard track. The track consists of fire tracks with a few steep inclines. We will stop midway for a yarn. 
 
These events are for women only and creates opportunity to connect with other women and country while improving your overall health, fitness and wellbeing.
 
MEET TIME/LOCATION
Please arrive at 9:45am  for a 10:00 AM Start.
Toilets are located at the car park.
The meet points will be sent to participants the day before the hike.
 
MEDICAL FORMS
Don’t forget to complete and  print off your Medical form – download  from here –  HSF Medical Form and Terms and Conditions. 
You cannot participate without having completed the form. I will have extra forms on the day, so please come early if you want to fill one out then.
 
WEATHER AND GEAR

If the weather forecast is for extreme weather or a fire ban is issue for the Adelaide Hills, this walk will be cancelled the day before and you will be notified.
We will only cancel last minute (by text message and email) if there is a severe weather warning/thunderstorm warning or weather events that are likely to impact on the safety of our leaders and walkers.
 
Due to the variability of the weather, the following items will be needed:
– a daypack (25-35 litre) backpack
– 1-2 litres of water
– sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen or wet weather gear (check the forecast and plan accordingly!)
– blister kit/personal medication
– high energy snacks/fruit
– boots/comfortable walking shoes
– layerable  and waterproof clothing for before/during/after the walk (eg. jumper/jacket)
– personal medications.
 
Please ensure you have the minimum gear required as. If you arrive underprepared without wet weather clothing or the gear listed above, our Leaders have the right to ask you not to walk with us for safety reasons.
Note: Your leader carries a group first aid kit, emergency communication devices
 
IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND
If you are no longer able to attend the walk, please reply by email contact@healthyselffitness.com.au There are no refunds. If you cancel you will be issued a credit for another trail.
On the night before, a leader will contact you with the mobile number for last minute cancellation or directions on the day only.
 
OTHER INFORMATION
These walks are about connecting with nature, one another and improving your overall health and fitness. We will go as fast as the slowest person and no one is left behind. 
Minimum age requirement for our walks is 15 years old (as long they are accompanied by a supervising adult). Please check with us if unsure.
