Walking on Country

  • 1 x up to 2-hour hiking session, including yarning circle in the Adelaide Hills.
  • Opportunity to connect with other women and nature while improving the overall health and wellbeing of participants.
  • Trails range from Anstey Hill Recreation Park down to Sturt Gorge Recreation Park. 22 trails to explore in total.
  • Sessions capped at 10 participants to ensure quality of service.
  • $40 per person for 1 session. Packages available.

COUCH TO TRAILS

  • Introduction to trail running for beginners. 
  • 10-week program for women just starting their fitness journey or who may not feel confident in their ability to undertake a trail.
  • Learn the fundamentals of running technique and breathing. 
  • The program is designed to develop the strength and stamina to enable participants to safely navigate the trails of Adelaide Hills and includes run coaching. (Interval training)
  • 1 X 45 min session pw.
  • Minimum fitness requirement is that you can walk briskly for 30 mins.
  • Sessions capped at 10 participants to ensure quality of service.
  • Sessions are held at park, Western Beaches, the River Torrens and the Adelaide Hills. 
  • $20 per person per week.

COUCH TO TRAILS

A 10-week program for women just starting their fitness journey or who may not feel confident in their ability to undertake a trail. The program teaches the fundamentals of running technique and more! These sessions are held outdoors and consist of running interval training in various locations including local parks, beaches, and the River Torrens with the last session being an introduction to a trail. A good class for those who would like to learn how to run in a non-competitive community of women. It is an introduction to trail running.

The program is designed to develop the strength and stamina to enable participants to safely navigate the trails of Adelaide Hills. The program consists of 1 45 min session per week. (Trail sessions are up to 2 hours)

WALKING ON COUNTRY

Walking on Country is a fitness hiking experience for women, that has been created to explore the trails of the Adelaide Hills and surrounds, while also exploring and facilitating connection to country, through walking and trail running on Kaurna Country.

The program creates opportunity to:

  • Connect to nature and other women.
  • Improve your overall health, fitness and wellbeing.
  • Participate in Yarning Circles.

The trails are up to 2 hours duration and are held on Saturday mornings at various locations throughout the Adelaide Hills.
